It was Saturday, August 14th and it was indeed, spectacular. It was the eighth annual Rock & Roll Oldies Show, co-sponsored by WLNG 92.1 FM Radio and the Southampton Lions Club, and produced by LAR Enterprises with the invaluable cooperation of the members of the Westhampton Beach School District who provided the venue.
The show was wonderfully emcee'd by oldies DJ "Cool Bobby B" and the the acts included Rock & Roll greats, Larry Chance and the Earls, the iconic Freddie Parris and the Five Satins and those all-time great balladeers, the Duprees. If you missed the show, we hope these pictures give you some idea as to how fabulous and yes, spectacular it really was.

A living legend legend, Fred Parris, is one of the icons of the music industry and as much as anyone, responsible for launching Rock & Roll as a powerful force in American pop culture. A recording and performing artist for over 50 years, Fred is still wowing audiences around the country!
Lead singer of the Earls, Larry Chance is a consumate entertainer, mixing his classic, street-corner style of Rock & Roll with good-natured stand-up comedy for a crowd pleasing presentation.

This is a special salute to singer, Richie Freeman, who has worked with Fred Parris since the early days of Rock & Roll. Over the years, Mr. Freeman has done thousands of live performances and made hundreds of recordings that have played countless times on juke boxes, home systems and on the radio, and although audiences sometimes may not have known his name, this extraordinary talent has been a special part of the American Experience for more than half a century. Thank you, Richie!
